60M Funding to Reopen Bransty Tunnel in Cumbria

Government agrees funding for tunnel in need of repair

The tunnel between Bransty and Corkickle is around 1km long was closed in July 2025 due to important maintenance reports the BBC. It is due to be reopened at a cost of £60M.
